  • Monday, March 15th - Friday, March 19th  Mrs. Haddaway is hosting an artist-in-residence the week of March 15th for all our academic students.  Our guest artist is Norene Spencer, a local artist specializing in the Sumi-e technique!
  • Friday, March 19th- 6:30pm- Family Dance- No charge, thanks to the PTA.. Theme- Neon
  • Saturday, March 20th- Finale Mile with the ODC Flying Eagles at the Shamrock Marathon- come cheer them on.
  • Thursday, March 25th- 1:45pm- Citizenship Assembly
  • Monday, April 5th thru Friday, April 9th- No School, Spring Holiday!
  • Wednesday, April 14th  9:30 am- PTA Meeting for Officers and Committee's

   Two New Clubs Launching at ODC!  LEGO

The ODC PTA is excited to announce the launch of two standing clubs - the Chess/Strategy Games Club and the Lego Club.  The first Chess Club meeting was terrific - we had a great turn out.  ODC students can still join at anytime.  Chess club is for beginners, as well as experienced players.  We also have many strategy games that can be played! All students are welcome to participate in these after-school clubs.  Meetings will take place every other week (see schedules below) after school. 

The Chess Club  meeting dates are:  March 10, March 24, April 21, May 5 and May 19. 

The Lego Club meeting dates are: March 16, March 30, April 13, April 27, May 11 and May 25.

Each club will meet in the ODC cafeteria after school and are organized by volunteers in conjunction with a teacher sponsor..  We ask that parents of participating students help supervise at least one club meeting, if possible.  Please note, there is no transportation provided home for these clubs - students must be signed out and picked up by 4:45 from the cafeteria.  Students may bring a peanut-free snack to enjoy before the clubs get underway!  Students must have a signed Permission and Expectation Form to attend.  Detailed information and a form will be e-mailed to those who filled out a survey/interest form in the last month or can be obtained by e-mailing Jill Campbell - jillacampbell@gmail.com.    Best Regards - Cindy Becker and Jill Campbell

CongratulationsOld Donation Center for being awarded the 2010 Governor's Award for Edicational Excellance. The award is the highest honor under the Virginia Index of Performance (VIP) incentive program.
